‘I am from Germany, and I represent the company Fuchs Lubricants Germany which specialises in producing lubricants including for the energy sector. We were in Baku meeting with business partners, and we decided to seize the opportunity to visit this exhibition. It was interesting to see who is present in this market and what the participating companies have to offer. It was gratifying to see the large German pavilion and to meet colleagues. At the same time, we held a string of meetings with new companies and discussed prospective co-operation opportunities.
I’m always one hundred per cent in favour of exhibitions. No online communication or correspondence can be a substitute for personal meetings. Speaking face to face, the opportunity to feel and test a new product, to hear recommendations of a company specialist only an exhibition affords such options. Add the fact that all that can be done simultaneously and in one venue and you see an exhibition’s efficiency shoot up. I think the Baku exhibition meets all those criteria.
