Exploring the Local Market for Promising Partnerships

We came to Baku with the aim of discovering the new and promising Azerbaijani market. While we currently have well-established partnerships in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, we have yet to establish a presence in Azerbaijan. That’s why we made the strategic decision to study the local market with a view to future cooperation.

Our company is a major Russian manufacturer of submersible cables, which are in high demand across the oil, gas, and energy sectors. We possess unique, proprietary technologies, among them, two cable accelerators with radiation-crosslinked insulation sheaths. These products have demonstrated excellent performance in aggressive environments and drew considerable interest from both Azerbaijani and international visitors at the exhibition.

We held productive meetings with representatives from SOCAR, Baku Steel Company, and several engineering firms. We identified shared interests and outlined initial steps toward collaboration. We were highly impressed with the exhibition overall. We hope to return next year to sign business contracts. The upcoming year will show us how economically viable this market is for us and help us assess the competitive landscape. If things go well, we may deepen our presence here, ramp up our marketing efforts, and potentially even exhibit ourselves. I believe the exhibition fully lived up to our expectations. For initiating key contacts, establishing strong ties, and analyzing the industry’s structure, our participation in the exhibition was undoubtedly the right decision.
